The latest releases of SchoolTool and SchoolBell are now done and
available for download. More precisely, the source tarball and .deb
packages are done and the Windows and MacOS packages will follow
tomorrow. We managed to clean up lots of user interface and
permissions glitches that cropped up in the release candidate process
(thanks to Philipp and others who offered bug reports). Gintas did a
heroic job of merging patches today.
These releases are particularly important, as they represent the
branches of code that will be used and supported in the coming school
year. We won't be continuing incremental feature releases for the
next eight months or so. New development will be released as
milestones toward a full student information system release in April.
We will offer bugfix support to SchoolTool 0.11 through the next year,
so schools can count on a stable product.
