Welsh and Hoffman spoke for 45-mins. this afternoon (Friday, 6-1-07)
to synch CanDo and SchoolTool plans; here are the notes:
PERMISSIONS
CanDo developers need to understand how to do functional tests on permissions
SchoolTool runs slightly different and tighter permissions than I run
If we're running a different permissions, CanDo needs a way to
override permissions
Ignas is the SchoolTool guy to talk to about permissions
SECURITY
We need functional tests (good intern tests)
Python has good facilities for doing it
Stephen Richter is a good resource
IE COMPATIBILITY
CanDo is committed to IE7 compatibility.
We can put IE bugs on the SchoolTool bug tracker (please tag as IE)
RELEASES
CanDo07 releases in August07 on "Feisty"
--we will feature freeze in early August
SchoolTool07 releases in October with "Gutsy"
--they will feature freeze in July
SCHEDULE
Tom will be at NECC, EuroPython and FOSSED/Gallaudet
He will NOT be at FOSSED/NH or the Arlington Sprint
