Hi Tom,

I got SchoolTool running in Gentoo. I made notes of what I had to
install, but of course I'm not sure which of the packages I had
installed already are necessary, so for a list which is as comprehensive
as possible, can you tell me (or have someone tell me) all the
dependencies, especially those things which in an Ubuntu environment
would be installed by default? As you probably know, Gentoo is a very
versatile distribution, and while development tools are a must in all
Gentoo environments, not even an X server is.



Robin,

Glad you got it running.  The only additional dependency I can think
of is Python.  I don't think we are dependent on other Python
libraries that are included in Ubuntu but not in the standard library.
 I'm forwarding this to the schooltool-dev list in case someone else
can think of something.
