[schooltool-dev] Proposed Release Schedule

Hi,

I'm busy at the BOF of edubuntu, we're trying to see how the release
schedule of SchoolTool can fit into gutsy edubuntu and have come up with
the following hard deadlines:

August 16: Deadline for the last major SchoolTool Release

October 4: Translation deadline

Given that trying to sneak by just before the end of the deadline is
probably not a good idea, I propose that we:

* Produce alpha quality releases ASAP
* Beta release (feature freeze), July 1
* Final release for, August 1

Now, these things should be possible from a packaging point of view, but
are they possible from a code point of view? Because basically if we
miss the August 16 deadline, it will become much more difficult to have
our release included in Gutsy.
