Yes, you're right, it's not easy to extract schooltool from its official
package (but not impossibile, of course)

Nevertheless, for now it doesn't matter...
I'm trying ... or better ... I'd like to integrate schooltool with the
Apple CalendarServer (now opensource), in order to have the caldav
support (which works quite well with the apple server) working within
schooltool.

Are you already planning caldav support with or without an external
calendar server?
