It seems like our old Mailman mailing lists aren't working very well,
although it is the kind of thing that is inherently difficult to test
("email me if you don't get this").  I don't see any reason not to cut
them loose and switch to LP mailing lists.  I'm sure many of the
addresses on the old list are dead, so I don't mind starting fresh.

Ideally we would have done this a couple months ago when the lists
were very inactive, but I would like to resolve this before they
become much more active again.

The only concern is keeping the archived lists accessible, which, from
a brief googling, doesn't seem like a difficult issue.
