[schooltool] non ascii characters

Have noticed there is a bug report filed already
for non-ascii unicode causing errors.

Just curious as to the progress, since otherwise
schooltool is perfect for our schools as it is ATM.

Also interested in knowing who is in charge of
Korean translations and how I might be able to
take part in that process.
